(Excerpt from the book Spiritual Inheritance – Merging Generations of Divine Wisdom by Dr. Bill Clark)

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
As I continue to move forward on my spiritual journey, I am constantly rewarded with new enlightening experiences. The process of taking them into my Being is a renewing of the mind and a blessing. They are both powerful and miracles. There is always a deep energetic spiritual connection that resonates on many levels. The process reenergizes me and always takes my faith, my love, my hope and my desires to a whole new level.
We all go through many phases in our lives where we get so bogged down with the day to day that we forget the many miracles that can occur, or we just don’t see them. We lose that precious, or at least we think we do, connection with God; that one Source that reigns within all things. But if God is present in all things; God must then also be present within each one of us; within You; and therefore, our Divine design and purpose.
My grandfather, the late Rev. A. B. Lauenborg, had this to say; “When God created the Universe, He at one and the same time created certain fixed laws by which the Universe functions. Certain actions or combinations of actions, under given conditions; have their reactions which are as certain as their causes. You and I are parts, infinitesimal parts to be sure of the Universe, and we are as unalterably governed by God’s laws as any other part. This we seem to forget from time to time. We, in our foolish ways, often attempt to pursue a course which is contradictory to these unchanging laws that govern us. This is true of the physical things, and it is also true of the things spiritual.”
Simply put; what we think about expands in our lives. Why? Thoughts are things. Thoughts are energy. And these certain laws of the Universe are always in operation whether we are participating in them or not. When we do get bogged down and forget this it often produces results, we do not desire or want. It then becomes necessary to renew our minds!
My grandfather continues; “Now here is something that is of the highest importance and greatest value that we should all keep in mind: As long as we live, we have to live with ourselves. This means that we will have to live with the thoughts, attitudes and desires we entertain whether they be good, bad, or indifferent. What those thoughts, attitudes and desires are; lie within our power of choice. Moreover, we are responsible for the choices we make. It is a responsibility we cannot evade. They are the choices that eventually either make or break us.”
So, changing our thoughts, attitudes and desires by renewing our minds can only benefit us. It shines a light on the path to the greater unfolding of what we were meant to do in this world to be of service. It does not matter what our profession is; for we are all of equal standing in our own, unique Divine expression. What matters is when we can move into this enlightened space within our minds; that’s when the miracles happen. And we can see them. That’s when the world around us transforms. You will know it when you find it because you will feel it within your very heart and soul. As do I as did my grandfather. It will build a fire of passion within you that will never be extinguished! Renew your mind and lift your Spirit! The choice is yours to make!
